Caleb Wagner is a multidisciplinary creative professional based in Los Angeles, California. He specializes in art direction and design with a background mixed in studio art, film production and photography. Currently balancing his time between lifestyle photography, freelance gigs in production and interior design, painting/studio art and an internship at Lauren Powell Projects, a Los Feliz fine art gallery focusing on queer and emerging artists, he enjoys constantly finding new ways to create, experiment and curate all things visual.
Caleb grew up in Minneapolis, MN where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Filmmaking from Augsburg College. After university he dabbled in a variety of creative roles - photographer, set dresser, actor/model, production assistant, videographer, designer, real estate decorator and more. Highlights included doing videography for Sofar Sounds, production work on shows like MonsterQuest and The Voice and being Unit Production Manager for No Blood of Mine, an independent feature filmed in Duluth, MN. The eclectic nature of his work allowed him to try it all and ultimately learn that his greatest strength was aesthetic, especially when it came to set dressing and production design.. His greatest weakness however was the cold so he moved to Spain where he taught English during the days and moonlit as a nightlife photographer/videographer. He spent his free days taking pictures of absolutely everything and shooting his own fine art series. Since moving to Los Angeles he has shown this photography in several small galleries and exhibitions.
Recent projects include production design for Oppression (short) and The Fruits of Their Labor (LA 48 Hour Film Festival) and photography/styling for Misery Loves Mandy (comedy podcast).
